  Well we did the traditional way, we took out little bundle of joy to the temple first to thank the "big guy" for out little blessing. Then came home where my husband dropped bit of oil on the side of the steps before we stepped into the house with a new little family member.

  I didn't have a baby shower for either of my boys :( we just had a little gathering at work on my last day before I left. I would have loved it if one of my friends would have organised a baby shower for me. So if you know someone who is expecting - why not delight them with a surprise baby shower? I feel I really missed out specially when I had plenty of free time on my hands :(

  Did you go glitz or glam, homemade or happy? Have you heard about a celebrity baby shower that raised your eyebrows or been to one that was a huge success for you? Mine was at home, we all brought along a doll that we pretended was our baby. For us first timers it was hilarious what we tried to do, and so much fun as we role played being a mum and what baby was doing.....still makes me chuckle. Firsttimemum starts a great post about cupcakes her friends made for her baby shower.   My 5 year old has been giving me a lesson in life, when says "mum look up, don't look down, smile don't frown". My heart just melts when I hear him say that :)

  Can't believe it!!!!

  So this is the second test that I did given that hubby didn't believe the faint line which showed up on the first two! After this he finally believed me. This is our first child and we have been trying to fall for 3+ years! So Excited!!!!

  I remember our first valentines day with my little man, I made this beautiful dinner and we all got dressed for the occasion. We had a candle lit dinner at home :) (still have the photos)

  I forgot about Valentine's Day until Steph posted about it! And this year is so monumental - our first Valentine's day with our baby boy! What a wonderful day it will be :-)

  In our house if my little man hits my 5 year old he normally tells him " I don't like it" in a firm voice and walk away from him. It seems to work as my little man knows that no one will play with him if he hits.... Hope that help :)

  how to stop your child from smacking

  my 22mth old girl has starting smacking anyone when she doesn't get her way and smack's me or others to express herself when she want's something. She is slow on talking though understands words but can't seem to communicate verbally yet as to what she want's. Any tips?
