Do curries really work?
I've heard so many 'old wives tales' about getting things moving pre-labour - I was wondering if anyone felt that a particular activity or food worked for them?

Wow, those eyes are amazing! Bet you just want to stare into them all day.

I would dearly love for my grandson to have sleepovers at my place. He is nearly three and a half years old. I look after him two days a week and have done so since he was six months old. He is just such a lovely little boy. I have a wonderful relationship with my daughter in law so I hope there won't be any objections from her or my son. But, what do you think is an appropriate age for him to start spending the night at my house? I don't want to ask my daughter in law in case it is too early and I look inconsiderate or pushy. Thank you.

It doesn't matter how many of your friends you see pregnant, it's still overwhelming to look in the mirror and see that tummy! Very excited now...

I wish I'd known this 6 months ago! Great tip for next time.
This is a mistake I made with my first pregnancy - I didn't plan a babymoon! Now, with the second bub on its way, I don't plan to make the same mistake again. For all you first time mums out there, take the opportunity to plan a lovely break with your partner - or even with your best friends. Life changes more than you could imagine once that lovely (but demanding) bundle arrives in the world. Make time to go away, chill out, and relish the 'me time' you currently have!

I thought I’d post this because I’d heard a lot of conflicting information about whether or not it’s ok to hit the gym while pregnant – and about how much exertion to undertake. I spoke to a personal trainer who specialises in pre and post natal exercise and she said that on the whole, for women who have uncomplicated pregnancies and normal blood pressure, exercise is fine. Don’t take up anything new so you’re not suddenly using previously unused muscles, and definitely avoid contact sport. Make sure when you exercise that you’re able to maintain a conversation – you shouldn’t be overly puffed or find it difficult to breathe. Low impact activities are great – swimming in particular is brilliant because of the sense of weightlessness. The trainer I spoke to also said not to lift weights more than a few kilos so you’re not straining, and to avoid the treadmill if you’re feeling like your centre of gravity is off (the last thing you need is to be tumbling off a treadmill belt!) I was also curious about pilates, which I’ve recently taken up. He said that in general pilates is fine, but to make sure I didn’t do exercises on my back after the 12 week mark because of the pressure that bub would exert on my major blood vessels.
I've seen the pictures of outlines of little hands and feet pressed against bellies, but I had no idea it got this crazy in there!

Recently I dreamt that I was breastfeeding but could only do it out of one breast and then the other one just dissolved. Then I dreamt that my baby came out and immediately chose its own name! Has anyone else had crazy dreams?
