...because thriving babies are happy babies

Hi, Im a first time mum at 35, I have had trouble for many years trying to have a baby thanks to PCOS. I gave up trying as had enough stress and heartache after having a miscarriage and so many let downs each month, then 5 months after giving up trying, I found out I was pregnant. It wasnt the smoothest with getting an infection at 25 weeks and my little one had to be born via emergency ceaserean 15 weeks premmie. It was a long stressful and scary 3 and half months in NICU in hospital but she is my angel, she is home and doing well and she has made my life complete. I dont think I ever really knew what complete love was till I had my little girl.

honestly it would have to give you all a laugh. I always called my lil jelly bean.... "Turkey Bum"
so we decided to call our lil one Kermit because i am tired of the old 'peanut' or 'jellybean' and when i first saw kermit it was seriously tadpole shaped and being kermit is the most famous frog i could think of thats what bubby got hehehe

I am so impressed with many of your stories. Mums & mums-to-be you certainly can write heartfelt stories!! I just love the way you share your emotions and experiences at Karimums. It’s so rewarding. So I thought why not ask - If you wrote your baby a letter now to read when your baby is older, what would it say? I can hardly wait to read your messages...and maybe some of you might just keep it for your baby to read themselves one day

Hunter took his first steps the other day - on my birthday in fact - what an incredible present!

Someone in a facebook group has asked when to stop steralising and it has surprised me how many people have been told different things by hospitals and CHN. Our boy was born 6.5 weeks early and is now 19 months old and at the time we were told not to sterlise, just to use hot soapy water. With another one on the way, just wondering everyones thoughts and what they have been told? Not steralising worked for us. I would just once a week to once a fortnight boil all bubs bottles and dummies but curious what everyones thoughts are :)
