Tummy Aches

Just a general tip for all the mums to be; it is completely normal to have some cramping and pains in your lower tummy. It can start from the very first time you find out you are pregnant, or maybe when you are 8 weeks along and it can stay around for a while. This is the uterus enlarging and the ligaments stretching to make room for the growing baby. I personally find resting helps to ease the discomfort. Please do not try to worry if you are experiencing these cramps as this really just your body getting ready. If you are experiencing severe pain or if your cramping is combined with spotting or bleeding, make sure you get checked out by your GP. GOOD LUCK x Gaby

  • Great tip - I started to panic when I got initial cramping. I was hugely relieved to find out it was perfectly normal! I guess it's pretty natural for us to associate pain with things going wrong, when actually in this case it's a sign that everything's going right!
