Swing time!

Swing time!

First time on a swing! Not sure he looks happy but he was smiling soon after :-)

Oh, this is going to be the first of many times on the swing! My son used to adore swinging and still does!

Christmas Day 1999 - I put my 8-month-old on one of these swings for his first swing, strapped him in, secured him properly, made sure I kept a good grip on him, pushed him ever-so-slightly. Somehow, he leaned forward tipped himself over, fell out of the silly thing and did a faceplant in the sand! Even though I was still holding onto his arm! Took me a while to get over it and I think he was almost 2 before I put him in a swing again!

@Jakes Mum. What a traumatic experience for you both! The littlies have the most amazing ability to get into trouble don't they? My DH thinks I am a nut as I am putting padding down under the rugs and over the wood floors as my DS keeps face-planting as he learns to walk. Even then tough he manages to miss the soft areas and hit the wood. Ugh! But they survive. I just wish we could fast-forward to Age 2 and already be done with this bruising pre-walking stage! P.s. I will now watch my DS like a hawk at the swing!

  • So cute. I've been wondering whether my little guy is big enough for the swings ... you've inspired me to give it a go. :)
