Baby food 8 to 12 months
- Community Posts
From now until 12 months, your baby will go a long way to becoming quite the little foodie – moving from mashed and minced foods to finger foods! Your baby may be able to sit and pick up objects, or if they’re closer to 12 months, they might even be biting and chewing already.
Between eight to twelve months, your little one will progress to eating little chunks of food and be more adventurous with flavours and meals. You can roughly mash or finely chop your ingredients, and because babies at this stage want to feed themselves, now’s the time to have fun with finger foods and healthy snacks!
Eight to twelve months is a great time to be more adventurous with your toddler’s food. Watch this video to find out more.
Remember to tell us about your best kids’ recipes too - the foods you love, the easy-to-make meals, the more the merrier. Share your recipes with other mums here on the site, or if you’ve got any questions about feeding your baby, just ask our Careline dietitians and nutritionists.
Tasty tip: Pop leftover portions of your cooking in the fridge or freezer by storing them in small sealed containers or little ice cube trays.
